Carleton MartelloPosted by Walt (Scarborough, Canada) on 1 September 2007 in Architecture and Portfolio. Originally built for the War of 1812, a war that merits pages and pages of Canadian History but only a brief mention in the American curriculum (they lost), this tower had the addition put on top (above the stone) to help guard the St. John harbour during World War I. I was initially very disappointed when it was foggy during my photo tour of St. John. However, I'm thrilled with many of the shots, so hey, fog is okay with me. What I'm listening to : The Unforgiven 6:27 Metallica Metallica Rock/Pop
